A booster box is a multi-pack opening experience. In this simulator, booster-box mode requests 24 packs for the selected set and lets you reveal them one at a time or all at once. When fully opened, the box contains 288 simulated card results.
Single pack versus full box
A single simulated pack is useful when you want a quick result. A simulated box is better when you want to see a broader sample from the same set. The frontend asks the backend for a full box result using box mode and then keeps each pack hidden until you reveal it.
Because a box has many more cards, it can teach variance better than one pack. You may see how often ordinary rares appear, how memorable pulls stand out in the recap, and how a box can still miss a particular chase card.
How Current Box works
Current Box is a temporary recap of the active box opening. As packs are revealed, the frontend gathers those cards, summarizes rarity counts, highlights stronger pulls, and can save revealed cards to local browser collection storage.
The recap is a viewing tool. It does not reroll cards, improve odds, or create extra copies. If you reset or start another box, the Current Box view changes to the new simulated result.
Why the simulator may use box-level modelling
The current pull-rate page describes booster-box mode as using a box-level mix for rare-plus slots instead of rolling every rare-plus card in isolation. That approach can make simulated boxes feel less erratic while still staying transparent that the model is unofficial.
Real boxes can vary because physical collation, print runs, product type, and regional packaging are outside the app's control. The simulator is best understood as an educational collection tool and entertainment feature rather than a claim about sealed products.
What box openings are good for
Simulated boxes are useful for comparing sets, learning rarity names, stress-testing a collection goal, and seeing how local collection progress would change after many packs. They are not financial advice and should not be used to assume that buying a physical box will complete a set or produce a specific chase card.
