How the Lorcana Pack Simulator Works

A transparent guide to how packs, booster boxes, foil slots, chase cards, and local collection tracking are handled in this unofficial simulator.

Unofficial simulation, clearly labelled

This site is a fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with Disney, Ravensburger, or Disney Lorcana, and the pull rates are not official. The goal is to make the simulator understandable: what the app is doing, what data it uses, and where the model is intentionally approximate.

Pack structure

A simulated Lorcana pack is built as 12 slots: 6 Common cards, 3 Uncommon cards, 2 cards from the Rare, Super Rare, or Legendary pool, and 1 foil or special slot. Cards are shown in that order so the rare and chase slots appear near the end of the reveal.

Rare-plus slots

For single packs, the rare-plus slots are selected from the imported cards for the chosen set. For booster boxes, the simulator first builds a 48-slot box-level mix of Rare, Super Rare, and Legendary pulls, then shuffles those slots into the 24 packs. This helps full boxes feel less swingy than rolling every rare slot in isolation.

Foils and special cards

Every simulated pack has one foil or special slot. Most of those cards are regular foil Common or Uncommon printings, with occasional higher-rarity foils. When a set has Enchanted or Iconic printings in the imported data, those are treated as rare chase outcomes in this special slot.

Booster box mode

A booster box opens 24 packs for 288 total cards. The Current Box view is a recap of the cards revealed in that box only. It sorts stronger pulls first, but it does not change the card rarity or create extra copies.

Collection tracking

When you reveal cards, the app can add them to a local browser collection. This collection is stored with localStorage on your device. There are no accounts, cloud sync, binders, payments, or shared collection profiles.

Limitations

The simulator uses imported public card data and unofficial estimates. It does not model every real-world print run, collation pattern, regional product difference, damaged card, replacement card, promo distribution, or retail packaging variation. Results are useful for entertainment and collection planning, not as official odds.

Card data and corrections

Card and set information is imported into this app's own database before the frontend reads it. Set pages distinguish pack-pullable printings from total database printings where the data supports it. Promo or special-product printings may be excluded from pack simulation unless they are represented as pack-pullable cards.

If a card number, image, rarity, set assignment, or treatment looks wrong, please send the details through the Contact page. Useful reports include the set name, card name, collector number, and what appears incorrect.
